Bite Disease

Bite-DiseaseBite disease is the deterioration of the teeth and gums as well as the bone and muscles of the head, neck and upper back. When these structures are not in harmony with each other, dental structures will break down over time.

A healthy bite is one where the jaw joint is in its socket absent of disease … the muscles of the jaw joint, upper back, neck and head are relaxed and not cramping, the muscles used for chewing are relaxed and not cramping, and the teeth work together in a non-destructive way.

When all these structures are working together in harmony we have a stable, healthy mouth. When everything is in harmony we can be free from the headaches, neck aches and upper backaches that are caused by an unhealthy bite.
